Shyla - Mountain Cur and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Shyla is at our Bucktown Adoption Center (2144 N. Wood St.) Stop by anytime during open hours to meet her!


This sweet pup is spayed, healthy, and microchipped! She is up to date on vaccines. She is still receiving the core puppy vaccine series and will need additional vaccines after adoption to reach full immunization.


Still developing potty-training skills and will need frequent outings and patience.

Has little leash experience and is just beginning to learn the basics.


Gets along with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion.


Has not been tested with cats, so her compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.



Enjoys spending time with children and has demonstrated appropriate behavior around them.



Shyla is the sweetest little puppy who is the perfect balance of playful and snuggly. She loves playing with toys but her favorite activity might just be curling up next to you getting all the cuddles. She is still learning all about the big new world around her, and would love an adopter who is ready for all the stages that puppyhood and being an adolescent brings.

OTAT requires that all dogs 6 months and under be enrolled in a positive reinforcement training program within 2 weeks of their adoption at their adopter's expense. A $150 refundable deposit will be collected at the time of adoption, and refunded upon receipt of proof of enrollment in a positive reinforcement training program.


This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like!


Shyla's adoption fee is $350, and this sweet pup can't wait to meet you!
