Meet Tizzy! This sweet girl has come such a long way since arriving at the shelter, and watching her come out of her shell has been so rewarding. She is still working on building her confidence, but once Tizzy feels comfortable with you, she is incredibly sweet and loyal. She’s the kind of girl who will take her time getting to know you, but once she trusts you, she is all about her person. One of her favorite ways to find comfort is by sitting right between your legs, where she can feel safe and close to you.

Tizzy absolutely LOVES to play ball! Give this girl a ball and you’ll quickly see her playful side come out. She also enjoys her snacks, walks decently well on a leash, and rides nicely in the car.

We recently took Tizzy to the fair, which was a pretty big ask for a dog who is still building confidence. She did as well as she could with all the noise, people and activity, but she did become nervous around a few men and when very fast-moving children ran toward her. Tizzy prefers to take things at her own pace, and she will need an adopter who understands that she may need some time and patience when experiencing new things.

We aren't sure yet how Tizzy will do with another dog, so as always, a meet and greet is recommended. What we do know is that Tizzy is a truly sweet girl who has worked hard to come out of her shell. She has so much love to give and would thrive with someone willing to let her build confidence at her own pace.
