Venus and her sister Serena made their way to us from Kentucky, and they are each ready to serve up the love! These "sisters" (maybe?!) are part of a large group of pups, all said to be related, who were relinquished to a rural shelter down there.

Venus is a perfectly medium-sized and perfectly sweet caramel delight. Both she and her sister are the kind of dogs who just melt into you-gentle, affectionate, and adoring.

Venus loves people of all ages, and she gets along great with other dogs. She has a soft, submissive nature and is the happiest when she is near humans (or her sister!). Venus is the more "serious" of the two! While Serena will toss her toy in the air and prance about, you can imagine Venus rolling her eyes at her show-boating sister. Venus does not draw attention to herself like her sister, and prefers to sit politely on her bed, with her paws crossed, and watch Serena act a fool!

While leash walking is still a newer skill for both of them, they've already improved so much in just a couple of days-they're eager to learn and want to please.

Whether they're leaning in for pets, quietly following you around, or playing with dog friends, these sisters bring a calm, loving energy wherever they go.

Venus and Serena get along really well, but they are not a bonded pair!

If you're looking for one (or two!) incredibly sweet companion(s), Venus (and Serena!) are ready to take home the trophy: your heart.

Venus's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
