DESCRIPTION
Mozart is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours!
2-month-old Mozart arrived from southern Illinois with his mom and eight siblings at the start of September! They were sadly dumped at the local animal control when the pups were about 4.5 weeks old, and Heartland quickly scooped them up and brought them to our puppy suite!
Mozart is one attentive pup! This little guy loves treats and will work hard to earn them! He quickly learned that if he 'Sits' that a treat will magically appear, so you can often find him right by you in a perfect 'Sit' looking up at you wondering when that treat will appear! When he isn't busy flaunting his smarts, he loves to romp with his siblings or steal a cuddle with a human. Mozart is going to grow up to be such an amazing dog and we hope you will add him to your family!
Mozart's adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.
They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.
Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
