3 year old Griselda is a wonderful girl. Friendly to all humans, pals with every dog, and full of love to give! She's exuberant and a cannonball of love that we just absolutely adore. We rescued her from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where she was waiting among hundreds of other dogs. She really stood out to us, though - we really can't resist a house hippo with a smile that's bigger than the sky! How can anyone!?

Griselda scored a foster home shortly after coming to Heartland, and she is doing great. She's house trained, and hasn't had a single accident yet. She is also crate trained, and overall a great houseguest. She's a total cuddle bug! Here is what her foster mom has to say about her, " Griselda is sweet big girl with an adorable face who loves to be near people... cuddling, in physical contact. She is very food and treat motivated and is learning behaviors using positive reinforcement. She has learned to sleep in her spot on the bed. When she is tired, she will go into crate and nest and sleep. When everything is calm, she is calm and will find a quiet place to sleep or watch people. She has been loose in a fenced yard and likes to lay in the sun or stretch out in the grass. She has done well with elderly people but has to managed not to get over excited around them and not jump on them because of her strength. She will eat any food you give her and does well with a slow feeder. She seems to love going for walks!"
