5-month-old Barnes landed at a rescue in Texas with his mom and siblings after an accidental litter. After a month of growing, playing, and getting ready for the next chapter, Barnes made the journey to Wheeling and landed in a wonderful foster home!

Barnes is such a sensitive, sweet soul that has really blossomed in the last few weeks in his foster home! He has another dog in the home to show him the ropes and that has been very helpful for him with building confidence. Overall, Barnes is a very good pup that is growing into an amazing dog! Below is what his foster family has to share about him!

"Barnes is the perfect mix of puppy energy and love. He loves to run out the zoomies with humans and dogs alike, but is sure to cuddle up with you at bedtime. Barnes might be shy with new people, but once he opens up there is no end to the amount of kisses you'll get when he does. Barnes is so resilient; he has been through so much change and yet he still wants to love you and shower you with puppy energy. He's never met a toy or treat he doesn't like! He would be an energetic and loving addition to any home looking for a forever loyal friend."

Barnes' adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.

They will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.

Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
