Porky: 12/10. Perfection. A miracle in a dog suit.
Porky is the kind of dog who makes you believe in goodness again. He loves dogs, cats, and kids with equal enthusiasm and gentleness. His manners are impeccable — respectful, calm, and genuinely eager to listen. He's the rare dog who actually hears you and responds with sweetness.
Porky came to us after surviving the unimaginable — burned, shot, and left for dead. And yet, he chose kindness. He chose love. He chose to trust humans again. He is, without exaggeration, one of the sweetest souls in our rescue right now. It truly doesn't get better than Porky.
From his foster mom
“Omg Cat, he is amazing. So gentle and loves affection. Great on the leash — not a puller. Goes in his crate nicely and is silent. No accidents in the house yet. Likes the kids. Hasn't been in gen pop with Peach and Harry but is totally unphased when he sees them pass by. Unphased by the cats. Takes treats nicely. Perfect gentleman in the bath. For a dog that should hate humans, he's 12/10 (not a typo).”
Why Porky is everything

Porky deserves the world
After everything he's survived, Porky is still pure love. He's the kind of dog who makes your home softer, your days sweeter, and your life better. If you're looking for a dog who is already perfect — not “potentially perfect,” not “almost perfect,” but actually perfect — Porky is your boy.

The update below comes directly from this dog's foster home. We share these notes on our website so adopters can get an accurate, realtime picture before requesting a meet & greet. Please read everything carefully before contacting us. Doing so helps cut down on unnecessary emails and allows us to respond faster to adopters who truly need assistance. A reminder: behavior can shift dramatically between environments, and every dog needs a decompression period in a new home. For some, that's a few days; for others, it may take several weeks or even months. If no update is currently listed, please check back soon. We're actively working with the foster to gather the most recent information.
