Canolli is exactly what his name promises — a sweet little treat with a crispyfun exterior and a soft, loving center. He's spunky, active, sweet, and absolutely lapdog certified. This boy loves to bounce, loves to play, and then loves to melt right into your arms like warm pastry filling.
He's good with dogs, and cats and kids are unknown — we simply haven't tested him yet. He is, however, fully housebroken, earning him his official “Buon Ragazzo Badge.”
Ciao, Canolli!
Say ciao to your new best friend — the little pastry pup who brings all the charm of an Italian bakery straight into your home. If Canolli were at a Vieni e Siedi (come and sit!) table, he'd be the star of the spread.

Additional Details
The update below comes directly from this dog's foster home. We share these notes on our website so adopters can get an accurate, realtime picture before requesting a meet & greet. Please read everything carefully before contacting us. Doing so helps cut down on unnecessary emails and allows us to respond faster to adopters who truly need assistance. A reminder: behavior can shift dramatically between environments, and every dog needs a decompression period in a new home. For some, that's a few days; for others, it may take several weeks or even months. If no update is currently listed, please check back soon. We're actively working with the foster to gather the most recent information.
Briefly describe the dog's overall personality and temperament:
Pure puppy! Loves to play with toys, go on walks, play with other dogs, snuggle and be with people.
What does a typical day currently look like for the dog? (Feeding, walks, play, naps, crate time, etc.)
Potty at 530, nap until 7, walk for 30 minutes, eat, play with toys for an hour, sleep (crate) for 1-2 hours, play, sleep for an hour, play, play, play, walk, eat, play, nap, play, bed around 10(crate). Lots of potty breaks in between due to pea size bladder!
Is the dog housebroken?*
Still working on it
Optional: any accidents, patterns, or housebreaking progress to note?
He has the ability to use the yard but I have noticed he prefers to be on a leash to go potty.
Does the dog sleep through the night?
Yes
Based on what you've observed, could this dog comfortably live in a home with shared walls (apartment, condo, or townhouse)?
No
What makes this dog nervous or unhappy? (Triggers, fears, handling sensitivities, environments, noises, people, animals, or situations.)
He hears everything! Sound asleep, a noise will wake him but he is now falling back to sleep faster so I think he is adjusting to normal noises.
How does the dog behave around other dogs?
Friendly and social
Energy Rating (1 = very high; 5 = very low): *
2
Leash Walking Rating (1 = difficult; 5 = perfect): *
3- getting better with pulling
What walking equipment is currently being used? (Select all that apply)
Martingale
Slip lead
Approximately how long is the dog typically crated during the day?
1–2 hours
Would this dog do well with a first-time dog owner?
Depends on the person/home (explain below)
Optional: tell us more about what kind of home/experience level would be the best fit:
If the person is a first timer, they need training as much as he does. He is very loving so I can see a new adopter falling for his tricks of love instead of training him.
What should potential adopters know about this dog? (Personality, ideal home, deal-breakers, anything that would help them decide if it's a good match)*
I can see him fitting in with most scenarios. I don't think shared walls would be good unless the person is home all day or he is better trained.
