Meet Pyewacket — the 13lb autumn gremlin who thinks he invented fall.
He's tiny, cute, funny, and fully convinced he should be crowned Homecoming King. He's already practicing his wave.
Pyewacket has declared autumn his official season. Why?
Because he looks incredible next to pumpkins, thrives in sweater weather, and believes apple cider should be served to him in a tiny mug with his face on it.
Pyewacket's Fall Highlights
Dogfriendly — chill with every pup in the pumpkin patch
Catfriendly — respectful of all feline fall royalty
Scruffy & adorable — looks like a tiny woodland creature who wandered out of a cozy storybook
Perfect temperament — sweet, silly, and full of crunchyleaf energy
Pyewacket is the ultimate fall companion — a pintsized cinnamonbun of a dog who brings warmth, laughter, and pumpkinspice charm everywhere he goes. He's perfect. Truly.

Additional Details
The update below comes directly from this dog's foster home. We share these notes on our website so adopters can get an accurate, realtime picture before requesting a meet & greet. Please read everything carefully before contacting us. Doing so helps cut down on unnecessary emails and allows us to respond faster to adopters who truly need assistance. A reminder: behavior can shift dramatically between environments, and every dog needs a decompression period in a new home. For some, that's a few days; for others, it may take several weeks or even months. If no update is currently listed, please check back soon. We're actively working with the foster to gather the most recent information.
Briefly describe the dog's overall personality and temperament:
He is very chill in his crate. No issues with barking/ separation in the crate so far. When released from his crate he is HYPER and frantic, but after about 15-20 minutes just finds a spot and passes out. He likes to be held and is eager to please and has no manners yet
What does a typical day currently look like for the dog? (Feeding, walks, play, naps, crate time, etc.)
Wakes up at 6:30 because that's just when our crew does. Waits patiently in his crate for his morning walk- consistently poops and pees outside. Comes in take a huge drink of water and I feed him in his crate where he hangs out for another 2-3 hours while I get th rest of the crew out the door/ dropped off. Then at like 9 or 10 I let him out and he circles the house frantically. Then lays at my feet and sleeps while I work- I put him in and out of his crate all day based on the activity level in the house and his decompression needs. I take him out for a walk at lunch, and then before pick up at about 4:30. He then goes back in the crate until after our dinner. I then feed him again at about 6:30. He stays in the crate until about 8:30 when we walk again. He might go out one more time before bed again as well.

4–6 hours
Would this dog do well with a first-time dog owner?
Depends on the person/home (explain below)
Optional: tell us more about what kind of home/experience level would be the best fit:
He's little so no one has given him rules- it's easy to manage around his bad behaviors. I would prefer he find a home where someone continues to reinforce the behaviors we're teaching him here- better leash skills, entering his crate on his own at command, out, and waiting patiently for his food.
What should potential adopters know about this dog? (Personality, ideal home, deal-breakers, anything that would help them decide if it's a good match)*
He's a little rascal and will explore all corners of your home.
