Star - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in San Francisco, California

Meet Star, an adorable, outgoing, fun, and affectionate girl with the cutest little ears and a huge desire to be loved. She greets people like old friends and absolutely adores her humans. She's sensitive to tone and wants so badly to be a good girl. She quickly settled in with her foster's dogs and loves playing with canine friends of all sizes.

Star has plenty of energy and needs just as much mental stimulation as physical exercise. She loves exploring, chewing, and playing with other dogs, although toys don't hold her attention for long. She's crate-trained, sleeps peacefully in her crate, and is an eager eater. She is still working on house training, and she also moonlights as the 'Head of Residential Security' -- she takes her role very seriously and will gladly give you a personalized audio alert the second anyone approaches to keep you in the loop! Despite her enthusiasm for monitoring the house, she has shown no aggression or possessiveness over food or toys.

A wonderful mix of affectionate and independent, Star wants to be your everything, but she also wants to explore the world around her. She's still learning leash skills, gaining confidence in new places, and car rides are a work in progress. With her playful spirit, loving heart, and desire to please, Star has all the makings of a wonderful companion for an active family who will keep her busy, engaged, and loved! Could that be you? The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
