DESCRIPTION
Bear is a 6 month old, mixed breed. In June 2026, she was brought to the shelter with her sister, Peach, after their original owner was no longer able to care for them. Bear is spayed, updated on her vaccinations, flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped.
This little lady has unfortunately not had the greatest start in life and so is very shy and unsure of herself. She is looking for a patient family that doesn't mind letting her get used to them on her own time. Once she gets to know you, Bear very much enjoys attention and gives great kisses!
Like all puppies, Bear is going to need some additional work on her housetraining and basic obedience. She does very much enjoy the company of other dogs as they help her feel more confident.
If you are interested in adopting Bear, please fill out an adoption application using our website (echumanesociety.org) and a member of staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible. You are also more than welcome to stop in anytime during our regular business hours and meet Bear in person! Feel free to call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 if you have any questions.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
