Wishbone - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Got a wish for a scruffy little sidekick who will fill your days with giggles, cuddles, and plenty of puppy kisses? Well Wishbone is here to make it come true! This adorable pup is searching for a loving, puppy-ready home where she can learn, grow, and become the very best adult dog she can be. And fair warning: wishing for just one kiss may result in a whole face full of them!

Wishbone is looking for a patient adopter who's ready to tackle house and crate training, practice good social skills, and help her work through those typical puppy habits, like being jumpy and mouthy when enthusiasm takes over. With positive reinforcement, consistency, and lots of TLC, Wishbone has all the potential to become a wonderful companion. Her foster says she's really come out of her shell and is now delightfully silly and playful. And when playtime is over? Wishbone is more than happy to trade in the zoomies for cuddles and kisses!

Wishbone is currently in foster care with another dog and would be thrilled to have a social, playful canine friend in their forever home since having a confident dog to learn from could be a big help as she navigates the world. Or someone ready to make socialization a priority and help Wishbone grow into a confident, well-rounded dog. And without knowing her parents' sizes, we can't predict Wishbone's final measurements. But luckily, her plans are already set: maximum cuddles, unlimited kisses, and permanent membership in the Forever Lapdog Club (no matter where she ends up).

If Wishbone sounds like the missing piece of your family, don't leave it up to luck or a wishing well! Give this sweet, scruffy pup the patient guidance and loving home she deserves, and get ready for a lifetime of tail wags, silly antics, and puppy love. Your wishbone wish might just be coming true!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
