Sunny - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Even with fall in full swing, Sunny is ready to make sure that there is plenty more sunshine to come as long as she's around! This floppy-eared, long-legged, sweet-faced pup was originally found as a stray, but with some time, yummy treats, plenty of positive encouragement (... sometimes in the form of a little baby talk), Sunny is more than ready to come out of her shell.

Sunny recently arrived at PAWS from the city shelter as a sweet and shy young thing who can be a little nervous at first. However, once things settle down, her goofy, playful side really starts to shine (pun intended!). She has plenty of wiggles, jumps, zoomies, and an enthusiastic appreciation for pets and attention. And there is so much more personality and pizzazz waiting to make an appearance as she gains more confidence!

Sunny is looking for a calm, patient home that will let her take things at her own pace while she learns the ropes and adjusts to a new routine and environment. An older, social canine companion would be especially wonderful for Sunny-someone who can show her the ins and outs of being a confident pup and help her learn by example. She'd also be happy with a dedicated human (or humans!) who are ready to put some time into her training and socialization as she grows into her very best adult dog self.

Sunny may need a little time to find her footing, but once she does, she's ready to bring the wiggles, zoomies, cuddles, and plenty of sunshine into your life. And if you're looking for a sweet girl whose sunny personality is just waiting to break through the clouds, Sunny would love to meet you!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
