Sid - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

First there was Sid the Sloth, and now there is the equally iconic Sid the Dog! Named for the lovable Ice Age character thanks to his super fun-loving personality and one-of-a-kind look (those adorably slightly-too-far-apart eyes are truly part of his charm!), Sid is ready to wiggle, wag, and work his way straight into your heart and home.

This handsome hunk is a friendly soul who seems determined to make everyone his new best friend, and has an incredible track record so far! From the moment you meet him, Sid is happy to show off what a truly "good boy" he is-and is an affectionate companion who absolutely loves being near his people. And if you've ever dreamed of having a slightly oversized lap dog of your own, Sid would like to formally volunteer for the position and promises to take his cuddling responsibilities very seriously!

Sid is also a star and already knows how to "sit," and being food-motivated means treats are definitely the way to his heart. He's also a big fan of ear rubs, quality petting time, and pretty much any opportunity to soak up some affection. On walks, Sid is also a dream, typically strolling along on a loose leash while taking plenty of time to sniff, explore, and enjoy everything the world has to offer.

When it comes to making new friends, Sid has a seriously social spirit. He has been observed offering happy play bows to other dogs and generally shows loose, tolerant body language during greetings. He can get a little jumpy when his excitement takes over, but he's very easy to redirect and is always eager to get back to what he does best: sharing the love with plenty of licks and enthusiastic tail wags.

Sid is a wiggly, happy, incredibly sweet fellow who is ready to leave the herd and find a family of his very own.
