Rick James - Domestic Short Hair and Mixed Breed Cat for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Rick James is a gentle, loving and low-key older guy. He likes to explore and wander the house and taking cozy naps. He needs a little time to warm up to you but once he does he is very affectionate and shows his love with gentle head rubs. He does love a good conversation and will greet you in the morning or after a long day at work with his cute little meows. He is very good with our resident senior cat and two senior dogs. He has been very friendly with our grandchildren, so we think he will do well with older children.

He loves to cuddle up in a nice warm cat bed or inside a pet cave bed. He even will play hide-and-seek with you but by the time you find him he'll be sleeping under the bed or chairs. He loves his scratch boards and being brushed and tolerates getting his nails clipped. He also loves going to the very top of a cat tower and looking out the window at the birds and squirrels. He will play with a laser pointer or his cat toys from time to time but much rather cuddle is a nice cat bed or climb on your chest for pets.

Rick is on a special prescription cat food to help with his irritable bowels. He really loves his food, especially his wet canned food. He does tolerate some treats but we try and limit the amount he gets due to his bowel issues. Otherwise, he's uses the litter box without any issues!
