Behavior Notes
Per Volunteer 9/18/2026: Cutie excited lady!! Greeted me with a very loose and wiggly body when I first approached her kennel and then very easily leashed her on the first try. On leash, she zigzags quite a lot as she's very excited to explore everything on all sides of you. She tends to pick up anything she can find, including food, wrappers, etc. Definitely has some puppy tendencies when we got to the yard she was nibbling my hands just affectionately. In the play yard she loves toys and allows me to approach her with no problem. She is definitely mouthy on my hands and my clothes however it's all wiggly and loose when she does it. She is pretty interested in treats, but not able to focus on them for a long, especially when there's a toy around. She voluntarily went back into her kennel, and I was easily able to unleash with the clip method. We walked past a shelter cat on the way in, and Amex saw him that didn't react at all.

Playgroup 9/11/26:
Steer Test: 4/5 with water and 0 with can.
Came in with a tense body. Went up to Leela with ears forward, mid tail. Got on top of her low growling and air snapping towards her as the handlers separated them.

Behavior Eval 9/11/2026:
Kennel Presentation: At the front of the crate with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail

Leash Skills: Easy to leash and came right out of kennel. hesitated to walk through the kennels, started to pull back towards crate. Went through surgery hall way to go outside which is quieter. Moderately pulled on leash. Hesitant through doorways. Ears to the side, wide/soft eyes and mid tail slowly moving.

Sociability: Tolerant of handling with body language the same as above. snatchy with treats and jumping on me.

Play: n/a

Dog Interaction: In playgroup. Stiff at the gate went into the yard and immediately jumped on Leela's back who did not react began to growl. Steered off and when moving away began air snapping towards Leela.

Return to Kennel: Went into crate and I removed leash with hand.
