Meet Pooh Bear!
Pooh Bear is a 2-year-old sweet girl with a gentle, affectionate personality who’s come a long way from her life living in a barn before arriving with us. She absolutely loves attention and enjoys being close to her people, soaking up every bit of affection she can get.
She walks nicely on a leash and is generally easy to handle, though she can be an enthusiastic explorer—Pooh Bear is known to climb fences, so she will need to be supervised and taken out on leash or in a secure, enclosed area at all times.
She is child friendly and has done well around kids here, even though her previous owner noted she wasn’t a fan of small children. She has shown a much softer, more relaxed side in our care. She is dog selective but has lived with other dogs before and could potentially do well with a slow, proper introduction. She is not cat friendly.
Pooh Bear is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on care (HW -). While she hasn’t shown much interest in play yet, her biggest joy is human attention and companionship. With a patient home that understands her boundaries and keeps her safe and secure outdoors, she’s going to make a deeply loving companion.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
