Meet Cena!

Cena is a 3-year-old sweetheart who is so ready to leave the shelter behind and settle into a calm, loving home. He was found as a stray and has been through a lot, including an FHO surgery—and during that process, his femur was also fractured and repaired with a plate. Despite everything, he’s healing well and just wants a cozy place to relax and be loved.

This boy absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He’s affectionate, gentle at heart, and happiest when he’s by your side soaking up all the love he can get. He may be a little strong and could accidentally knock over smaller kiddos, so he’d do best in a home with children over 5.

Cena will need to be the only pet in the home—he does not do well with other dogs and cannot live with cats. The shelter environment has been stressful for him, especially being around other dogs, and he’s currently on trazodone to help manage that stress.

On leash, Cena may pull at first as he gets his excitement out, but he settles down nicely once he’s had a chance to burn some energy. With consistency and a home environment, he’ll likely continue to improve.

Cena is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion who just needs a peaceful place to decompress and be adored, Cena could be your perfect match 🐾
