Lucky is a 2-year-old sweetheart who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. 💙

This handsome boy is very timid in the shelter and will often tremble when meeting new people, but once things quiet down and he’s given a little time, you can see his gentle personality start to shine through. Lucky wants to trust — he just needs patient people willing to move at his pace.

Before coming to us, Lucky had never walked on a leash and had only ridden in a car one time — on the way to the shelter. Because of that, he’ll need a family ready to help him build confidence with lots of patience, encouragement, and love. The good news? He’s already doing great about keeping his kennel clean!

Lucky has lived with other dogs, a cat, and children before. He would do best with kids who can understand that he’s scared and allow him to warm up slowly.

He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and ready to find a calm, loving home where he can finally relax and be someone’s best friend. 🐾
