See what her foster has to say about her:
Nyala has been A JOY to foster she’s loving and a true couch potato.
Nyala is an absolute gem! She’s been a delight since staying with me, and is coming out of her shell. All she wants to do is cover you in kisses and snuggle up next to you :) She’s also a genius - she picked up pottying on command in less than a day, and since becoming more confident, will gladly do many tasks on cue, including sit, wait, and going into her crate. She can still be a little scared of the outdoors but is making such great progress every day.
Her perfect day includes a day with you on the couch, stealing kisses. She’s not the biggest fan of walks but will gladly step outside every few hours to relieve herself. She also likes her crate and is fine keeping to herself in there when needed.
She is the sweetest, most beautiful thing and just wants to be loved and share her love. Please give this gorgeous girl a chance!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
