DESCRIPTION
Gemma is a sweet, easygoing girl with a gentle heart and a playful side. While she's happy to play, Gemma has a more laid-back personality overall and also appreciates downtime relaxing with her people. Gemma has come a long way in building confidence. She was once unsure about things like boots, hats, and quick hand movements, but with time and exposure, she's become much more comfortable. She can still be a bit timid in new situations, so she'll do best with a patient adopter who can continue helping her feel safe and secure as she adjusts. Gemma walks nicely on a leash, and she knows basic commands like "sit," "come," and "paw," and is eager to please. She enjoys car rides and will happily jump in for an adventure. Gemma has lived with other dogs, cats and young children. She came to the shelter with brother Jax. They can be adopted separately or go home together. Gemma thrives in the presence of other dogs and would love a canine companion in her new home. A family willing to give her time to adjust and build confidence will help her truly shine. She'd love space to run and explore!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
