DESCRIPTION
Jax is a fun-loving, high-energy pup with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. Jax is already familiar with a few basic commands like "sit," "wait," and "paw," and he's happy to show off his skills-he can even balance a treat on his nose! He enjoys car rides (he'll hop right in) and is comfortable navigating stairs. Around the house, he's crate-trained and settles well when crated for a few hours at a time. Jax has lived with other dogs and cats. He came to the shelter with sister, Gemma. They can be adopted separately or go home together. He has also been around young children and tends to give himself space when needed. Jax would prefer a home with older kids. An active household with space to run and play would be perfect for Jax. His favorite activity is to explore outside through his nose. He recently discovered that swimming is a fun activity!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
