Meet Rango!
Rango is a 1-year-old, 28-pound bundle of energy who came to us from a shelter in Tennessee. This wiggly, happy boy is ready to discover all the fun things life has to offer!
Rango is a social guy who loves being around people and is very motivated by treats, which will be a big help as he learns his basic manners. He is still working on impulse control and tends to get very excited, especially when coming out of his kennel. His new family should be prepared for plenty of jumping, wiggles, and puppy-like enthusiasm!
Rango spent his first year in a living room without regular access to the outdoors and likely missed out on some important training and enrichment. Because of this, he may not be the best choice for a first-time dog owner. His adopters should be comfortable with the time and patience it can take to teach basic obedience, appropriate house manners, and housetraining. A consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and plenty of mental and physical enrichment will be important for helping Rango succeed.
Rango has lived with his littermate and showed playful interest in another dog here at the shelter. He can be a little exuberant with his greetings, so a gradual introduction will be important when meeting potential canine siblings.
Because of his energetic personality, young children should meet Rango before adoption to make sure everyone is comfortable together.
Rango is a fun-loving, affectionate guy who has a lot to learn-but he's ready for a family willing to give him the training, structure, exercise, and patience he missed out on during his first year.
Rango is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Come visit Rango at the shelter or reach out for more information! 517-626-6060 or adoptions@adoptlansing.org
