Meet Blaze, a sweet 7-month-old boy who is still learning about the world and discovering his confidence.
The shelter environment can be overwhelming for Blaze, but he is doing his best. He enjoys treats, investigating toys, exploring outside, and staying close to his handlers. Once outside, he seems more comfortable and confident, giving us a glimpse of his curious and playful personality.
Blaze can be nervous in new situations and may need some time to adjust. A patient family who can introduce him to new experiences at his own pace and use plenty of positive reinforcement will help him build confidence. We recommend older children, and everyone in the home should meet Blaze before adoption.
Blaze has lived with his littermates without issue. He has been curious but somewhat unsure when meeting other dogs, so a slow introduction and thoughtful management would be important if he has a canine companion.
Like any young dog, Blaze is still working on his housetraining and learning how to navigate the world. With patience, consistency, and encouragement, this sweet boy has plenty of room to blossom into a wonderful companion.
Blaze is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Is Blaze your perfect match? Come visit him at the shelter or reach out for more information. adoptions@adoptlansing.org or 517-626-6060
