DESCRIPTION

Hi, I’m Happy! And yes, that’s really my name. Once you meet me, you’ll understand why!

I look like someone took an adorable Labrador and made a perfectly sized version. At just 2 years old and 28 pounds, I’m not a tiny little dog, but I’m definitely not a big dog either. I’m that wonderful in-between size that’s just right! Big enough to be your adventure buddy, small enough to fit comfortably into your lap. Car rides, family outings, weekend adventures, or just hanging out on the couch? Count me in!

And the best part? My personality is every bit as lovable as my looks! You can tell by my pictures I love to cuddle and be petted.

I’m two years old, and I’ve made it my personal mission to make friends everywhere I go. Dogs, people, children—you name it! I think everyone deserves a friendly hello and a little tail wag. Actually, make that a LOT of tail wagging. My tail pretty much has a mind of its own!

My foster family calls me Miss Congeniality, and I think that sounds about right. I get along with every dog I meet, I’m wonderful with children, and I have this funny, sweet personality that makes people smile. I’m just one of those girls who genuinely loves life.

And here’s something else you’ll love about me: I’m not a barker! I don’t feel the need to announce every little thing happening around me. I’d much rather spend my time enjoying your company.

I’m also house-trained, crate-trained, and already know how to behave in a home. At two years old, I’m past those tiny puppy days, but I still have plenty of fun, happy energy to share.

I do pretty well on a leash, although I have one little weakness: I want to meet EVERYBODY! What can I say? When the world is full of potential friends, it’s hard to just walk past them. I’m still learning that not everyone needs a personal greeting from Happy.
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 2 to 3 weeks to try real life together the home routine, the walks, the treats, the bones, and all the everyday things that help you know if we are truly a fit.

Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever family is truly the right one.

Transport runs every other weekend, and Ill be making my trip north soon. Pickup locations are Winchester, VA, East Hartford, Connecticut and Brattleboro, Vermont.

The best way to apply for me is through the website: www.rociosrescues.org

You can also email rociosrescues@yahoo.comwith questions. Petfinder inquiries sometimes go to spam, so applying through the website is the best way to make sure your application is seen.

I have a feeling my person is out there... and if youve made it this far, I think we might need to meet.
