Hi! I’m Hartley! I’m a happy, goofy, playful girl with a heart as big as my personality. At just 10–12 months old, I’m still young enough to believe that everything in life is exciting. A new toy? AMAZING! A tasty treat? BEST DAY EVER! Someone wants to pet me? HOLD EVERYTHING—THIS IS IMPORTANT!
My favorite things? Attention, affection, food, and making people smile. I’m the kind of girl who loves being loved, and I have plenty of love to give right back.
I’m a smart cookie with a serious love for snacks! That makes me a wonderful candidate for training. Give me some tasty rewards, a little patience, and a chance to learn, and I think we could make a fantastic team!
Now, let’s talk about my feline friends.
I actually like cats! The problem? Sometimes I like them a little TOO enthusiastically. I want to play, and apparently cats don’t always appreciate my fabulous energy. Who knew? So, I’d do best with dog-savvy cats who are comfortable around playful dogs, or a home where everyone can have their own space.
I’ve already mastered two very important house rules!
I’m crate-trained and house-trained! That’s right! Beauty, brains, AND a sense of humor!
I’m looking for a family who will enjoy my playful spirit, give me lots of affection, and help me continue growing into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be.
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 2 to 3 weeks to try real life together the home routine, the walks, the treats, the bones, and all the everyday things that help you know if we are truly a fit.
Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever family is truly the right one.
Transport runs every other weekend, and Ill be making my trip north soon. Pickup locations are Winchester, VA, East Hartford, Connecticut and Brattleboro, Vermont.
The best way to apply for me is through the website: www.rociosrescues.org
You can also email rociosrescues@yahoo.comwith questions. Petfinder inquiries sometimes go to spam, so applying through the website is the best way to make sure your application is seen.
I have a feeling my person is out there... and if youve made it this far, I think we might need to meet.
