Hi, I’m Dulce, I am a 2 year old, 35 lbs sweetheart—and yes, my name fits me perfectly.
I’m the kind of girl who leans into you for love, follows you from room to room, and somehow makes every day feel a little softer. I’m sweet, friendly, and playful in that easy, natural way that just fits into your life.
I’m very human-oriented and a foodie! So training is easy for me. Being close to my person is my favorite thing—whether that’s cuddling on the couch, going for a walk, or just hanging out nearby while you do your thing. I have a medium energy level, so I enjoy playtime, but I’m just as happy relaxing with you.
I get along beautifully with kids, dogs, and even cats. I’m the kind of dog who makes life easier, not more complicated.
I’m crate trained, potty trained, and very quiet—I’m not a barker. My crate is my safe space, and I settle in there peacefully.
Before all of this, life wasn’t always so comfortable. I was found pregnant, some nice people were taking care of me there and didn’t want to let me go because they loved me but couldn’t take me home so I was living next to their taco stand. But that chapter is behind me now, and I’ve held onto my gentle, loving nature through it all. Now I’m ready for something more... something permanent.
I’m looking for a home where I can be part of your everyday life. Someone who wants a loyal, affectionate companion who will be right there with you—through the quiet moments and the happy ones.

I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 2 to 3 weeks to try real life together the home routine, the walks, the treats, the bones, and all the everyday things that help you know if we are truly a fit.

Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever family is truly the right one.

Transport runs every other weekend, and Ill be making my trip north soon. Pickup locations are Winchester, VA, East Hartford, Connecticut and Brattleboro, Vermont.
