Available for meet and greets being fostered in Danvers MA
Hi! I’m Sky!
I’m a petite 35-pound Aussie mix, about 1 year old, with a sweet, gentle personality. I’m currently being fostered in Danvers, Massachusetts, and I’m ready to find my forever family!
I’m 100% house-trained, amazingly clean, and not destructive. I can comfortably have free run of the house when needed, but I’m also happy relaxing in my crate. Because I don’t require tons of exercise and have such nice house manners, I could even be a wonderful candidate for apartment living.
And did I mention I’m a wonderful car rider? I’m a great little companion to have along for the ride!
I do well with other dogs and children. My experience with cats is currently unknown.
I do have one cute little quirk I’m working on. When I’m off leash and already playing with another dog, sometimes I get SO excited about playing that I bark at my playmate. I don’t do this just from seeing or passing dogs while out on walks—it happens when I’m having fun and get a little overly excited during play.
Continued positive socialization would be wonderful for me so I can keep learning calmer, more polite play manners. If I have a dog sibling or regular playmate, my best match would be a well-socialized, balanced dog who can stay calm and either ignore my excited barking or not become overly stimulated by it. A dog like that could be a wonderful role model and help me learn that barking isn’t necessary to keep the fun going.
I could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only dog.
If you’re looking for a petite, gentle, beautifully house-trained little lady who is easy to live with, loves her people, travels like a champ, and still has a playful side, I just might be your girl
I was rescued in Texas and Im looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. That means you get 2 to 3 weeks to try real life together the home routine, the walks, the treats, the bones, and all the everyday things that help you know if we are truly a fit.
Theres no pressure in the process. If for some reason Im not the right match, my rescue will quickly find me another home so everyone stays supported and safe. Its a thoughtful way to make sure my forever family is truly the right one.
The best way to apply for me is through the website: www.rociosrescues.org
