More about Sable:

Sable is a sweet, gentle girl with a tender heart and a calm, affectionate nature. She enjoys being around both people and other dogs, and she has a quiet, loving presence that makes her easy to be around.

She's easy to leash and eager to get outside to explore. While she may pull on walks and show interest in wildlife, she's smart, attentive, and a great candidate for continued training. Sable is believed to be housebroken and does well in her kennel, though she may try to follow her people when they leave she truly enjoys companionship.

Sable has enjoyed playtime with other dogs and would likely fit well into many types of homes. She is also very sweet and enjoys giving gentle affection and kisses.

On a recent outing, she hopped into the car on her own but showed that car rides make her a bit anxious and uncomfortable. Once out, she preferred to relax and wander at her own pace, enjoying the sunshine and quiet exploration over high-energy activities like fetch.

Sable isn't a high-energy dog. she prefers calm strolls and peaceful time with her people over busy play. She's a beautiful, affectionate girl who is ready to find a patient, loving forever home where she can feel safe and cherished.

Sable is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in. We feel that the best matches are made based on a dogs individual personality and recommend families come meet our animals in person. Please reach out with any questions!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
