Russet - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Hamilton, Ohio

Russet is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle, loving personality. He rides like a perfect gentleman in the car and hops in and out with ease.

This sweet potato is easy to walk with just a little leash pulling and has great manners, he's respectful around food and takes treats gently. Russet is super smart who knows sit, down, stay, lie down, speak and shake with both paws and is eager to please.

He's done well with kids, showed no reaction to other dogs through a fence, and passed his dog test. Russet loves toys especially playing with a tennis ball and enjoys attention. He allows full body handling with no issues.

Russet seems to do better with dogs who are not invasive and respects his space which results in no resource guarding of his toys


Russet is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. Dog Adoption Fees:
Puppies under 6 months: $200
Adult Dogs 6 months and over but less than 8 years : $95
Senior Dogs 8+ years old: $50
