April is a sweet 2-year-old Mixed Breed girl who may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable with you, her affectionate personality truly shines! Give her a little patience and kindness, and you’ll discover a loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Once you’ve earned her trust, April will happily become your little shadow, following you through life’s everyday moments and soaking up that special bond you share.

April deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. She may not be the kind of girl who rushes into your arms right away, but the love she has to offer is worth taking the time to discover. April's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!

A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application.
