Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

CONSTANCE

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia
April 30th
female, large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Constance came to us as a sweet stray hound, wandering alone but carrying a gentle, hopeful spirit. From the moment she arrived, she showed us her soft heart — friendly, calm, and a little aloof, happy to accept affection before quietly drifting off to explore.
She’s curious about the world and sometimes forgets her manners when interesting smells lead her toward countertops or the trash, but with patience and guidance she’ll learn quickly. In the yard, she prefers roaming and sniffing to toys, checking back in with her people when she wants a reassuring touch.
Around food she’s polite and easygoing, and with other dogs she stays relaxed and tolerant, choosing quiet observation over play. She’s a peaceful soul just waiting for the right match.
Constance is a sweet stray hound ready to find her people — someone who will give her a gentle home, space to explore, and the love she’s been searching for.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
