Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia

female, medium, baby
DESCRIPTION
Twila’s story begins with a quiet, cautious girl, unsure of people and the strange new world around her, but with patience and gentle introductions, she slowly began to unfurl like a timid flower in spring; soon she was stepping forward to greet visitors at her kennel door, easing into her leash for calm walks, and leaning into the hands of those who moved at her pace. In her evaluation, she crept forward with a low posture, then surprised everyone by nearly climbing into laps once she felt safe, her tail wiggling and her eyes soft with trust. She played delicately with toys, startled only by louder sounds or quick movements, preferring slow, thoughtful moments. With time, kindness, and a bit of training, Twila is ready to flourish into the loving companion she’s clearly meant to be.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
