Zoom - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Dubuque, Iowa

Meet Zoom—his name might be a hint!

At 2 years old and 44 pounds, Zoom is a young guy who appreciates a good play session! He came to DRHS on an ASPCA transport, and while we’re still getting to know him, he’s already shown us his enthusiasm for high-energy fun.

In our playgroups, Zoom has enjoyed plenty of active play and seems to do well with other dogs. His enthusiastic style may be especially appealing to a canine friend who likes to keep the party going, too!

We’re still learning about Zoom’s personality and what he’ll need in a home, but a family excited to provide regular exercise, enrichment, and time to settle in could be a great match.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
