Cassian fka Handsome Valentino - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Cassian is living in a foster home! Fill out an adoption application to meet him.

This sweet pup is spayed/neutered and fully healthy! They are up to date on vaccines. They are also microchipped!

: Housebreaking: Reliably potty trained and lets you know when they need to go outside.

: Crate Training: Mostly Crate Trained. Familiar with a crate and does well for short periods, but may need time to adjust in a new home.

: Leash walking: Mostly Leash Trained. Has good leash manners but may occasionally pull or get distracted.

: Dog-friendly: Cassian loves other dogs! In fact, he'd prefer to have a doggie sibling in his home.

: Cat-friendly: Not sure, this pup hasn't met cats with us yet! However, he is noted to have a high prey drive on walks. Slow intro needed if adopted into a home with a cat.

Likely kid-friendly: Has shown positive signs around children but may need a gradual introduction to younger family members.

He may look buff, but once Cassian gets to know you he's the biggest baby! He loves morning belly rubs, rolling in the grass, and getting his energy out with zoomies in the yard. When he's not in play mode, he's incredibly calm and takes a lot of naps. He might be a little shy of new people but once he picks you as his pack, you're in for life. He will make friends with all dogs and prefers to have a confident friend at home.

This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like!

Cassian's adoption fee is $300, and this sweet pup can't wait to meet you!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
