Clementine - Anatolian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

This gorgeous gal is spayed and fully healthy! She is up to date on vaccines. She is also microchipped!

: Housebreaking - She has been making good progress with a consistent schedule and positive reinforcement.

: Crate Training - She is familiar with a crate and does well for short periods, but has done best when left alone in a larger dog-proofed area/room

: Leash walking - She has good leash manners but prefers shorter walks due to her leg issues

: Dog-friendly - Yes! She enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well with a variety of canine friends.

: Cat-friendly - Not sure, she has not met any cats while with us. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.

Kid-friendly - Yes! She enjoys spending time with children and has demonstrated appropriate behavior around them.



Clementine is a loving, happy dog who loves nothing more than to relax at home with her favorite people to snuggle. She happily settles right in with her family and is confident meeting dogs and kids of all ages. While low energy overall, she gets silly bursts of playful energy and even happily howls with excitement when playing with her favorite Kong-type toys!


Clementine has orthopedic disease in her rear legs, for which she is currently taking joint supplements and receiving Adequan injections. OTAT will provide support for a TPLO procedure when her growth plates close.

Clementine's adoption fee is $300, and she will make a great addition to her future home!

This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like!

Anatolian Shepherds have a distinctive short double coat that comes in various colors, with a black mask common on their faces. They require early socialization and consistent training to manage their independent yet devoted temperament effectively.
