Looking to help a dog in need? Then check out this opportunity to FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT with Canine Haven Rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization in the GTA. We can only help bring these dogs out of shelters if we have a foster (or foster to adopt) home for them. Fostering is free, all supplies are provided, and you get the opportunity to help a deserving dog! If you foster to adopt, you will have the option to adopt after approximately 2 weeks.

Good with Cats: unknown - but it is possible given his demeanor

Puppy behaviours:
Zack arrived in our care alongside his two siblings, and while they all started off fearful and unsure, Zack has needed a little extra time and support to find his footing. He's a sensitive soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place.

With the help of his siblings, Zack has begun taking small but meaningful steps forward. He watches closely, learns from those around him, and is slowly building confidence-but he'll need a very special family to help him continue that journey.
Zack is what we lovingly call a "passion project"-a puppy who will thrive with patience, understanding, and a commitment to celebrating every bit of progress. He's looking for a calm, dedicated home that can help him feel safe while introducing him to new experiences, including being leashed and learning to accept gentle touch. Because of this, we do feel that Zack would do best in an adult only home, with the potential of a home with older, dog savvy children.

The good news? Zack is highly treat motivated, which will be a wonderful tool in building trust and supporting his training. With time, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he has so much potential to grow.

Zack will need a family with time, dedication, and a whole lot of love-someone who understands that every small step forward is a big win. In return, they'll get to experience the incredibly rewarding journey of watching a shy puppy blossom into his best self.
