Pearl
1 Year, 10 Pounds
Rescued in Texas
Meet Pearl, a one-year-old, 10lb poodle mix who is equal parts southern charm and pure sass. This long-limbed, completely hypoallergenic sweetheart adjusted to her foster home almost instantly, which says a lot about how adaptable and easy-going she is at heart. Pearl runs on a delightful cycle of moderate energy bursts followed by long, luxurious lounging sessions, making her a surprisingly versatile companion. She is an absolute people magnet every guest who walked through the door this weekend was greeted with kisses and cuddles without hesitation and she thrives on affection, actively rolling over to make sure you don't miss her belly, neck, or face. She's comfortable in a crate, partially potty trained (still polishing that one), and while she hasn't learned formal commands yet, she's clearly bright and picks things up quickly with patience and positive reinforcement. Keep an ear out for her occasional reverse sneeze it sounds a little funny but is completely harmless, just part of her charm.
Pearl is a girl who knows what she wants, and what she wants is love, play, and a good chase. She fetches like a pro, has strong opinions about toys (squeaky ones are a hard no), and walks with the confident strut of someone in heels her adorably floppy ears bouncing with every step. Her Jack Russell instincts are alive and well, so a home with a fenced yard would be her dream come true, giving her space to sprint, explore, and stalk the occasional backyard bunny to her heart's content. She'd do well as an only pet or in a household without small animals given her hunter instincts, and while her history with children is unknown, her gentle, affectionate nature is a wonderful starting point. Pearl will need an adopter with time for attention, play, and consistent training, but she will pay it all back tenfold in cuddles. She is, without question, a professional cuddle bunny and she's ready to make your lap her permanent home.
