Meet Clay! A Sweet Little Guy Ready to Find His People!

Clay is an adorable Miniature Poodle/Chihuahua mix who is almost 1 year old and weighs about 11 pounds. He's fully grown, wonderfully compact, and sporting the cutest scruffy little coat!

Clay is a quieter boy who may need a few hours or even a few days to feel comfortable in a new home. He can be a little shy at first, but underneath that reserved exterior is a genuinely sweet little dog. He's still learning what it means to be a household pet, and he'll need a family willing to let him settle in at his own pace.

He gets along well with other dogs and older children. We don't know how he would do with cats. Clay is crate trained and is doing very well with his potty training. He has not shown a tendency to mark indoors, which is a nice bonus!

His coat is medium-length, scruffy, and more wiry than curly. We aren't sure whether he sheds or is hypoallergenic, so we can't make any guarantees. His new family should be prepared to provide regular brushing and grooming as needed. He arrived with some mats and tangles that had to be shaved out, so coat maintenance will be important.

Clay isn't the type to demand attention the moment he meets you. He's more of a little guy who needs time to discover that he's safe, loved, and finally home. Give him that chance, and you may just find your new best friend!
