Meet SADIE & HAZEL!

Sadie and Hazel are a special pair who are hoping to find a home together! These two beautiful Manchester Terrier mixes are actually half-sisters—they share the same mother but have different fathers. Sadie is 5 years old and Hazel is 6, and they have spent their entire lives together in a loving home. Unfortunately, changes in their owner’s life made it too difficult to continue caring for them, so these sweet sisters now find themselves looking for a new family.

While both girls are incredibly sweet, they have slightly different personalities. Sadie is the more confident of the two and is usually the first to approach someone new to investigate. She can take a little time to warm up (sped up with the help of yummy treats!), but once she does, she loves nothing more than plopping down beside you for plenty of pets. She is also a smart girl who knows sit and paw and is happy to show off her skills! She has the cutest face and the softest skin!

Hazel is a little more reserved and appreciates being given time and space to get comfortable with new people. Luckily, she is also very treat-motivated, and some tasty snacks can help her warm up and associate you positively. Once she feels comfortable, Hazel becomes a loving companion who will seek you out for pets, affection, and reassurance. She knows sit, down, and paw. And her gorgeous eyes are truly something to see—one is brown, while the other is brown with beautiful blue splotches, like an azure sea.

These girls are deeply bonded and truly enjoy doing life together. They love going for walks together, eating together, and curling up for naps together. They do become upset when separated, so we are looking for a home where they can stay together. When they have each other, however, they are perfectly comfortable being left home alone together.

Sadie and Hazel reportedly did well with dogs, cats, and older children in their previous home. Because they can both take some time to warm up to new people, we recommend a home with adults only or older children who genuinely understand how to respectfully interact with dogs and give them the space they need to feel comfortable.

These sisters have spent their whole lives side-by-side, and we would love nothing more than to see them continue their journey together. If you have room in your heart for twice the love, Sadie and Hazel are ready to find their forever home!
