Ginger's world recently changed in a big way when her elderly owner passed away, and now this sweet girl is looking for a soft place to land and a new person to call her own. Ginger spent her life in a home where her person was around most of the day, and that's still where she feels happiest-close to her human. She can become vocal when left alone or when she isn't quite sure where her person has gone, so she would do best with someone who is home often and looking for a devoted little companion to share their days.
Despite everything she's been through, Ginger still has plenty of spunk! She gets the zoomies, loves playing with her human, and is absolutely delighted by toys-the squeakier, the better. She's also a fantastic walking buddy who believes walks have a destination and sees no reason to waste time getting there!
While Ginger peacefully coexists with the dogs in her foster home, she generally chooses to avoid them rather than interact. She may be perfectly content as an only dog, or could potentially live with calm canine companions who are happy to give her space.
While Ginger will voluntarily go into a crate to take a break, being confined in one is very stressful for her, so a traditional crating routine isn't a good fit. Thankfully, she's a well-behaved houseguest who is perfectly happy snoozing in her fluffy bed when a human lap isn't available.
And Ginger definitely has opinions! She'll happily "talk" to you when she'd like an invitation onto your lap-or perhaps a sample of whatever you happen to be eating. She's an excellent conversationalist.
Ginger deserves a peaceful next chapter filled with squeaky toys, cozy beds, good walks, and a human who loves having a little shadow nearby. If you're looking for a sweet, funny companion who wants nothing more than to be part of your everyday life, Ginger may be your girl.
