If you're looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy, River is ready to dive into your life! We think this handsome boy is a Pointer/Lab mix, and he has all the enthusiasm, curiosity, and athletic potential you'd expect from that combination.

At this stage, River is still growing into those long legs, which makes for some pretty entertaining puppy moments as he bounces, zooms, and occasionally trips over himself. With his energy level and likely breed mix, we think he'll make an excellent hiking, running, or outdoor companion once he's fully grown.

River has been thriving in a foster home with both a playful 1-year-old dog and a senior dog, and he would likely love a canine sibling who can help show him the ropes, burn off some puppy energy, and continue teaching him good manners. He has shown very little interest in cats, and while he hasn't been tested with children, we think he'd do well with older kids who understand that puppies are still learning.

Like any young pup, River is still working on his house training, but he's making great progress. He settles nicely in his crate after a few minutes of puppy protest and is already able to hold his bladder through the night. Best of all, he's highly food motivated, making training fun and rewarding for both him and his future family.
