Lhasa Apso Dogs Available for Adoption in Falmouth, Maine

Please meet Hobbes here, and be sure to check out his brother Calvin who is also available for adoption! Hobbes is wearing his proverbial lucky rocket ship underpants in hopes that a new special home is waiting just around the corner for him! Hobbes has been neutered, vetted, microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health from our vet. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him!

Here is what we know about HOBBES:

- Hobbes is about 4.5 years old, and weighs @ 24lbs. He is full grown and should maintain his current approximate weight.

- Hobbes is a Lhasa apso, and has the long gorgeous coat and long body structure known to the breed.

- Hobbes and his brother Calvin were surrendered to rescue when their prior family began experiencing some health conditions and could no longer give them the attention and care they deserve. Since then, both brothers have been thriving in foster care awaiting homes of their very own.

- Hobbes is approximately 4.5 years old, which is the perfect young adult age for a smallie guy like him to still be active and spry but already completely trained and done with any puppy shenanigans! He is a plug and play boy who is guaranteed to bring your family lots of delight.

- Hobbes is house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is a gentle affectionate boy.

- Hobbes is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.

- Hobbes has a gorgeous coat, but will need regular grooming to keep his hair free from tangles. His new family should be prepared for a consistent grooming routine.

- Hobbes shares a foster home with other dogs and he gets along great with them. He would do just fine as the only dog, or with another doggy playmate in his new household.

- Hobbes hasn't been directly exposed to cats, but we think with a proper introduction he would be just fine with them. He is a friendly and playful guy.

- Hobbes would make a great family dog for kids 5+. We aren't certain of his exposure to young children prior to coming into rescue, but as long as any kids can respect dog boundaries and don't play too rough with him we think he would do just fine.

- We would love to see Hobbes go to a home with small dog and/or breed experience, but welcome all applicants for each of these brothers.
