Originally a Kentucky boy, Zeke is a 2-to-4-year-old Heeler mix who is finally getting to experience how amazing life can be. In Kentucky, Zeke was bullied by other dogs and was put in a barn to fend for himself. Now in NY, he is learning how to just be a dog, and honestly? He's a natural.
At just under 40 pounds, Zeke is the perfect "adventure-sized" companion. He is incredibly easy to pick up, fits comfortably in the car, and makes the absolute best travel buddy.

Training & Ideal Home
Zeke is a smart boy who is currently working hard on mastering his basic commands. Because he has that classic Heeler DNA, his natural herding drive is definitely present. For this reason, we do not recommend him for a home with small children. He will thrive best in an active, adult-only environment (or a home with older, dog-savvy teens) where he can get the mental stimulation and physical exercise he loves.
