Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption in Warrington, Pennsylvania

MEG AND MIKE

Labrador Retriever
🇺🇸
Warrington, Pennsylvania
April 24th
female, large, senior

DESCRIPTION

Meg and Mike are a bonded pair of almost 11yo (DOB 05/01/15) Labrador mixes who have been temporarily residing at a kennel since February 22 after their owner went into the hospital for treatment but never made it out.  Unfortunately, he passed on April 22 and now Meg and Mike are without a place to go back home to. They are looking for an adopter or foster to adopt that can give them a loving place to land to live out their golden years together.

Meg and Mike are eligible for our Silver Muzzle Match Program: https://brooklinelabrescue.org/adopt/silver-muzzle-match-program/

This senior pair is sweet, playful and well mannered.  They were well loved by their owner who adopted them at the age of 3 from a rescue in Kentucky.  They are fully house trained and love to go on walks and car rides. They did not live with children but have a gentle disposition and love attention. They are unknown with cats.

They have been left alone in the house for up to 12hrs without any accidents but most recently they spent most of the day at home with their owner. They used to love to hang out with their previous owner on the couch and watch sports with him.  They also like squeaky toys and balls and of course treats.  Meg and Mike used to sleep in their owners room on dog beds. The kennel staff reports that they are happy go lucky and go with the flow of daily kennel life so they should acclimate easily to a new home.

They walk great on leash but might give a little tug to go sniff a scent.  Meg also likes to be up at the front of the pack during a walk. They would make wonderful daily walking companions.

They are UTD, 4DX and fecal tested, on preventatives, and spay and neutered.  They have a few lumps and bumps that are typical for dogs their age, but have been well cared for and received yearly exams and medical care when needed.

The owner also provided for Meg and Mike in his will to cover future medical needs for the pair for any future owner.  They also will come with several bags of their food.

We would love to get these two into a home before their 11th birthday and make their birthday wishes come true.  Please reach out to info@brooklinelabrescue.org if you are interested in learning how you can help this special duo.

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. (Note: Sometimes a foster home falls in love and adopts their foster dog so the dog doesn’t make it to “Available Now”).
If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Website, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. If you need additional information about the adoption process or whether you are in our coverage area, please send an e-mail to our Rescue at info@brooklinelabrescue.org.
Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still help us help our Labs!
