Gina is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
Meet Gina!
Gina is estimated to be about 4 years old and was found as a stray and taken into a high kill animal shelter in Houston, TX. Gina is the cutest little scruffy mix. Our vets say she could be a lab and / or pittie mix, but we're not sure where her cute little scruff comes from! And she's a petite little girl at just 40 pounds. Gina is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her forever home!
Gina is dog friendly and currently lives with another dog in her foster home! She is shy initially when meeting new dogs, but warms up quickly. We would say her energy level is low to medium. She is super low maintenance and just hangs out and entertains herself 75% of the time. The other 25% consists of small spurts of energy and she loves, loves, lovessssss to go on walks! She jumps and dances around every morning when it's time to go for a walk because she's SO excited! She engages in light play with other dogs, but she's not super big on playing.
Gina is cat friendly and currently lives with a cat in her foster home. She seems scared of the cat and just leaves the cat alone.
Gina is kid friendly and currently lives with a 14 year old girl and she does great with her! Gina has a gentle and kind of an "old soul", she can also be shy when meeting new people, so older kiddos are probably best.
Gina is an angel on the leash! She will stay calmly by your side. She does enjoy stopping to smell the roses every now and then, but for the most part, she'll keep the pace.
Gina is fully potty trained! She prefers to be left to free roam and is a total angel! She just relaxes on the couch and waits for you to come home.

Gina is the most special girl! She is so gentle, sweet and snuggly. She loves being wrapped up in a blanket on a comfy bed. She is so calm, relaxed and low maintenance! Gina just goes with the flow and will happily curl up next to you and sleep through the night or on a dog bed if you need her to. She is shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and will be the sweetest, silliest, love bug! As mentioned previously, Gina is shy at first. She needs a patient family who will allow her to blossom! We promise in no time that she will be snuggling up next to you for cuddles and you'll be best buds, she just needs a tiny bit of patience to allow her to get there! She's incredibly low maintenance and would be a great addition to any home! She will just lay at my feet while I cook or she goes upstairs and naps in bed. She sleeps with me in the bed at night and is the perfect little cuddle bug. She likes to be near her people who she feels safe with. Overall, I think she would just thrive in a stable, affectionate environment. She just wants to love and be loved in return.
Every morning Gina wakes up and does a happy dance to go outside. She never barks, bites, or chews on things in the house. She doesn’t want to be in anyone’s way, she just does her own thing until you decide it’s time to play with her! Once you grab her leash and she knows it’s playtime, she will dance around in circles and show you how happy she is. She sleeps like a baby in the night. Having Gina at our home has truly just felt like having an extension of ourselves. A non-disruptive, snuggly, sweet creature who only wants to be loved!
