Short stack is currently in a foster home and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up!

Meet Short-Stack!

Short-Stack is a 3 year old female, american staffordshire terrier who currently weighs 65 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her forever home!

Short-Stack came into an open intake / kill shelter down in Houston, TX after she was used as a breeding dog the first 2 years of her life. While she lives with a doggie brother now, we'll be looking for a home where Short-Stack can be your one and only! She wants all your love and affection for herself and quite frankly, she deserves it! She will be sure to give you everything she has in return.

Here's a small blurb about Short-Stack from her foster mom:

Short-Stack is the goofiest girl around! She is 100% down for a good time if it involves food & fun! She's potty trained, crate trained, and knows many cues including; place, here, sit, down, shake, heel, “let’s go”, and leave it. We'd say she's got a moderate energy level. She enjoys running around and playing, but will also happily curl up for some snuggles and downtime! Sometimes she gets very excited & can react to seeing other dogs out on walks. She loves short walks and small adventures as she can get overwhelmed with big outings. She LOVES tug-o-war, playing with her jolly ball, galloping around the yard and her favorite snacks include peanut butter and watermelon! She's not a fan of getting her nails trimmed, but if she's taken for daily walks ( like we do in her foster home) they file themselves down naturally. She's shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly! I once had a plumber over and she was getting belly rubs from him in no time. She's met children before and she's always very sweet and gentle with them (it's adorable)! We think she would do best in a home with older kiddos, just due to her playfulness and wiggly body. She is so incredibly loyal to her people and loves them with her whole heart. Short-Stack is GREAT in the car and really enjoys being included in adventures with her family. She is such a sweet, goofy girl and will make a wonderful addition to any loving family!
