Pita is a beautiful 4-year-old, 40-pound girl with a heart full of love and a wonderfully gentle spirit.

Affectionate, sweet, and eager to please, Pita loves being close to her people. She enjoys attention, playing with other dogs, going for walks, and simply being part of whatever her family is doing. She has a calm, thoughtful presence, balanced by a curious and playful side that is always ready for the next adventure.

Pitas story began with heartbreak. When her owner moved away, Pita was left behind to survive on the streets on her own. Confused and suddenly without the person and home she knew, this sweet girl was fortunate to cross paths with a kindhearted person who brought her to our rescue partner, SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, where she finally found safety.

Pita genuinely enjoys people and wants nothing more than to love and be loved in return. She is naturally a happy dog who is ready to leave her difficult past behind and become someones cherished companion.

Pita is gentle, adaptable, affectionate, and eager to please, making her a wonderful match for many different types of homes. She is great with children, gets along well with other dogs, and is neutral toward cats. She loves going for walks, spending time with her people, and being included in everyday family life.

Pita has a nice, moderate energy level. She enjoys getting out for walks and playtime, but she also knows how to settle down and relax. When the day winds down, Pita is perfectly happy to cuddle up close to her people and enjoy some quiet time together.

She is also crate trained and understands that her crate is her safe, quiet me time.

Most of all, Pita thrives on companionship. She would be happiest with a family who will make her part of their daily life and give her the security, affection, and sense of belonging she has been waiting for.

Pita has an opportunity to travel to New York in September, but she needs an adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting for her in order to make the journey.

Pita is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. She is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Simparica Trio.
