Meet Bella — A Beautiful Girl Ready for a Family of Her Own

Bella is a beautiful 9-month-old girl with a sweet, gentle nature, playful puppy energy, and so much potential. She is expected to be approximately 50 lbs full grown, making her a lovely medium-sized companion. Affectionate, curious, and playful, Bella enjoys being around other dogs and the people she knows. Like any young dog, she can be silly and mischievous, but beneath that puppy spirit is a sensitive girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place.

Bellas story began in a way no puppys story ever should. She, her sister Bimba, her brother Bongo, and their siblings were found as tiny puppies, abandoned in the garbage and left completely helpless. A kindhearted person who happened to be walking his dog discovered the litter and immediately contacted our rescue partner, SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, for help.

The puppies were brought to safety and given veterinary care, nutritious food, shelter, and kindness. The tiny puppies someone discarded have since grown into beautiful young dogs, and Bella has come such a long way from where her story began. Now she needs the one thing a rescue environment simply cannot provide: a home and a person to call her own.

Because Bella has spent much of her puppyhood growing up in rescue, everyday home life will still be new to her. Her adopter should be prepared to continue her training, socialization, and confidence building with patience and positive reinforcement. There will be new sounds to hear, places to explore, people to meet, routines to learn, and experiences that most dogs raised in homes have already encountered.

Bella doesnt need to learn everything overnight. She needs someone who understands that confidence is built through many small, positive experiences and who will give her the time and encouragement she needs. At only 9 months old, she is young, eager to learn, and at a wonderful age to begin discovering the world alongside her person.

Her potty training has already begun and will need to continue in her new home. Crate training, a predictable routine, regular exercise, positive reinforcement, and plenty of patience will help her understand what is expected of her and set her up for success.

Bella gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys playing with her canine friends. A friendly, confident resident dog could be a wonderful companion and role model as she adjusts to home life, although the right adopter can also help her thrive as a solo dog.

Bella is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

She has the opportunity to travel to New York, but she cannot make that journey without a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting for her.

Bella isnt looking for someone who expects a perfectly trained dog to arrive on day one. She needs someone willing to teach her, encourage her when something feels unfamiliar, laugh through the puppy moments, celebrate her progress, and give her the time every young rescue dog deserves.

In return, youll have the incredibly rewarding experience of watching a puppy who was once discarded discover what it means to be loved, protected, and finally home. Bellas beginning was decided for her, but her future doesnt have to be.

Somewhere out there is the person who will introduce her to cozy beds, neighborhood walks, adventures, toys scattered across the floor, quiet evenings together, and the simple security of knowing she belongs.

Maybe that person is you.

If youre ready for puppy adventures, training, laughter, companionship, and the rewarding experience of helping a young rescue dog blossom, Bella may be your girl.
