Maika - Whippet and Jack Russell Terrier Dog for Adoption in New York, New York

Say hello to Maika, a 9-month-old, 28-pound bundle of joy with a heart full of love! This sweet girl is playful, curious, and always ready to make new friends.

Maika loves exploring the outdoors, playing with other dogs, and cuddling up after a nice walk. She has a gentle, submissive nature and is wonderful with kids, dogs, and even cats. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience, love, and encouragement, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. She would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, who can help her build confidence.

Maika and her sisters, Maggy and Mandy, were heartbreakingly left overnight in a box outside a shelter. They were found scared, cold, and hungry. Today, thanks to our partner rescue, SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, Maika is safe, healthy, and surrounded by love. Despite her difficult start, she has remained incredibly sweet, resilient, and ready for a family of her own.

Like any puppy, Maika is still learning leash skills and basic manners. Shes smart, eager to please, and food-motivated, making her a wonderful candidate for puppy training classes. She is also crate trained, and her potty training is already well underway.

Maika is fully vetted:
-Spayed and microchipped
-Up to date on all vaccinations
-4DX tested (negative)
-On flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
-Dewormed

We would love to bring Maika to New York on our next transport in September with a committed foster-to-adopt or adopter.
